  1. Wow... that's quite the amount of books (compared to me anyways).

I did read Wings and agree with you. It was okay but not great for me. Also, I've read wake but I didn't care too much for that one. I would rate it a 3/5 if I put up reviews with a rating system. I really liked the concept but the overall writing just didn't do it for me.

Other than that, nope. I am reading Shiver right now though.

  2. Love, love, love "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."

I'm almost done with "City of Bones." (Is that the first one? If so, then, yeah, that's the one.)

A couple of the ones you listed, I began but I couldn't care about the characters or the story so I didn't finish. Some I have never heard of.

  3. THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE, along with the rest of the series, is almost the entire reason I feel in love with reading. THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER and A HORSE AND HIS BOY are my favorites.

Also from the list SHIVER remains one of my favorite books of 2010, but I have yet to read LINGER. It's sitting on my nightstand.

  5. I've only read the last one - sorry you didn't enjoy it. I've always meant to read Mary Poppins. Now I might have to step up the plan and read it sooner - just to see why she's evil and shocked you.

  6. Aw, Velveteen Rabbit. Loved/hate that book! (I don't like books that make me cry. But I do!)

    Nice list.

  7. Good grief! How do you find time to do all that reading! My TBR pile always gets taller. There seems to be so much to read and so little time!

I've given you an award over at my blog. Don't worry about passing it on if you don't have time. Just consider it a shout-out for your blog.

  8. Dawn- Yeah, I had high hopes for Wings but... *shrugs* Wake & Fade by Lisa McMann took some getting used to. I didn't particularly love how it was written, but I liked the book(s). How are you liking Shiver? It's one of those books you either love or you hate, I think.

Stephanie- Lol. No comment on that one ;) Really? Hmm. Was it that most of them are YA and the voice didn't suit, or what?

Jonathon- Lol. I'm sorry. I just didn't enjoy reading it *shrugs* You havent read Linger yet?!?!?! Get out there and read it!

Victoria- *sighs* It seems to be a lot of peoples fav. I just didnt like it. Oh well.

B.E.- Lol seriously, I did not picture Mary Poppins that way. She's just... cold and distant and doesnt appear to care at all.

Mary- I agree. I dont like books that make me cry either, but that one was so sweet.

Mary G- Lol I am a very quick reader. I tend to go through a 400+ paperback in a night. This list isnt actually very big, since I've been writing *sighs* Dont worry, my TBR pile is out of control too, LOL.

  9. The Velveteen Rabbit is one of my favorite books ... and I have a dozen or so different editions of it ... have always been enamored with the concept of "being real" ... being loved :)

  10. Wow that's quite the list! I just recently read Linger and really enjoyed it! I'm looking forward to her completing the whole thing so I can have Forever in my hands!

  11. Tess- Aww =) I completely understand why you love the book. It's one of my favourites now, though really sad.

Jen- Im glad you enjoyed Linger =) I can't wait for Forever! I want to see how this plays out!!

  12. I've read the Lisa McMann books. They were okay, but not my favorites. A little too dark for me. I REALLY need to read the Mortal Instruments. I recently finished Clockwork Angel and fell in LOVE with Cassie Clare's writing and the Shadow World, so City of Bones is high on my list. I can't wait - I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it that much!!

  13. The Bookish Type- Yeah, Lisa McMann's books are a hot button I've found. I just like how different they are from everything else I've come across in YA =)

You haven't read the Mortal Instruments? *gasps* Get thee to a bookstore! I'd suggest buying all 3 right away so you don't have to wait to find out what happens, LOL! And btw, I am SO jealous you've already read Clockwork Angel. I can't wait to get my own copy!
