Hello everyone!

Well, I've finally taken the plunge and started using my Goodreads account. I've had it for quite a while but I never did anything with it. Then last week my good friend B.E. Sanderson had a blog post about Goodreads, which inevitably convinced me to use mine. Now a week later I'm neck deep in that addictive site.  So if you have a Goodreads account, feel free to add me. I've really enjoyed getting to see what everyone likes to read =)

BRAVE!

Ahhh, I am so excited that Brave is now in theatres! I've known about this movie for about a year and a half and it was pure torture to wait for it to come out! Needless to say, we are going to see it tonight! =)

Are you excited to see Brave?? Any other movies you're excited to see this summer? I'm really excited about Magic Mike (I mean, c'mon!) and I do want to see the new Spider Man. I hated the original ones they did, but this one looks pretty cool. Plus, it has the adorable Emma Stone in it.

Vancouver Trip

As you guys know, my trip to Vancouver was successful. I passed my physical and I was issued a Fiancé Visa to the United States of America. I won't go into detail of what I had to do (I think I'll save that for another post where I'll go into each step I had to take), but I thought you guys would like to see some pictures from my trip =)

Although we were really busy with my medical appointments and my interview, we did manage to go see the Olympic Cauldron, Downtown Vancouver (our hotel was smack dab in the middle, so it was hard to miss lol), and the Vancouver Aquarium. =) I've been to Vancouver four times before, but it has been a few years now so I enjoyed getting to see the city again. Have you ever been to Vancouver?

Well you couldn't expect us to stay serious for very long, now could you?

This is quite belated, but I thought I'd still do a blog post about convocation... 

As you can see, I had a lot of fun. Even though I technically finished my degree in December, most of my university friends graduated with me in June. I knew everyone (with one or two exceptions) in the first six rows of where I sat (Anthropology first, then English, then History directly behind me). It was a wonderful experience being surrounded by all of my friends from school. 

The ceremony was rather short (all things considered), which I appreciated! As well, I can now reveal that my bridesmaid Kelsey was the valedictorian for our ceremony. She knew for a few months but she made me swear not to tell anyone until after (the secret nearly killed me, hehehe). She was super nervous, but she did a fantastic job--even earned a standing ovation from the entire crowd. We English majors stick together ;)

So yes, I now have my Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in history =)

Thank you to all of my online friends who supported me throughout the years. Without your guys' continuous encouragement, I wouldn't be where I am today =)

Fiancé Visa

So if you're on my Facebook or Twitter, you've probably already heard the wonderful news, but I thought I'd post it on here too, since I know I have numerous lurkers... As of yesterday at eleven o'clock in the morning, I have been issued a Fiancé Visa for the United States of America!! After six months, a boatload of paperwork, several hoops, and a mountain of stress, I have finally been accepted.

That doesn't mean I'm done the process (I still have to marry my FH and then change my status to permanent resident), but it does mean that I have been accepted by the American government to marry, live, and work in the USA =) *runs around screaming*

Vancouver Time!

Hello everyone!

So I'm going to be taking a break from the blog this week. I fly to Vancouver tonight for my Fiancé Visa physical (Wednesday morning) and my interview (Thursday morning). You might see me on Twitter, but I doubt I'll be on my here or on Facebook. I should have access to my emails through my phone, however, so feel free to contact me that way. I have no idea if the hotel has free WiFi, so I can't guarantee anything beyond that. I just wanted to give you guys a heads up that I'm going to be a bit silent, so don't panic lol.
