Need Another Weekend...

It's sad. I need another weekend to relax from my stressful weekend.  Normally going to Granny and Pawpaw's is relaxing, but the puppy missed his daddy (DH had to stay in Roanoke and work), so he was a bit of a terror. The drive there and back was a nightmare. We were having a few weird weather fronts moving in, and I think the poor puppy's ears were popping (I know mine were). He didn't deal with that well. And at night, he whined at my bedroom door CONSTANTLY.

Needless to say, I just want to go back to bed this morning. Unfortunately, I have lots to do. Laundry, writing, emails to respond to, phone calls to make, annnnnd the elliptical arrived while I was away, so I should probably try that out today too. *cue groaning* Is it too much to ask that I be refreshed and ready to tackle the new week?

How was your weekend?

  1. Sorry your weekend was the pits. Rest up today and start your week tomorrow.

Since my husband retired, every day is like a weekend now, which makes figuring out what day it is kind of a trial. I may not have to pay attention, but the rest of the world still works M-F. (And I still work S-S.)

  2. I felt the exact same way today, Natalie - still trying to get my act together and it's almost noon!!! Weekends, in my opinion, are just way too short.

Good luck getting going - and let us know how the elliptical workout went :)

  3. I hear you. My weekend has been pushed back a day, and that has me seriously irritable.

  4. Beth- Alas, you know me. I can't let something go even when I probably should ;)

It must be so nice to have every day be like a weekend!! I'm so happy for you =) Has the hubby started to pester you when you want to write?? ;)

  5. Janet- It's terrible, isn't it? I find I always have a rough week when the weekend before was stressful. I agree completely ;)

Thank you! I did my first workout today and ohmygod I nearly died, LOL. It was great. I was literally dripping sweat by the time I was done. I'm gonna feel this tomorrow--heck, I'm feeling it now!!

  6. LOL, not my Hubs. He does his own thing and knows when I'm writing, I'm in my own world. (Plus, the headphones help cue him in.)

  7. Try and epsom salt bath, Natalie - it takes away some of the soreness.

  8. Beth- That's good!!! My hubby still needs to figure that part out sometimes ;) I should try the headphones thing. I normally don't put them in unless he's watching a show or playing a game.

  9. Janet- I've heard that before, but I'm not a bath sort of gal ;) Maybe if I had a gorgeous claw-foot tub or something, but our bathroom doesn't have any natural lighting so it feels a bit closed off. Still, if I get really sore this week I shall keep that in mind! Thank you!

  10. Weekends are made for fun, not stress! Sorry your weekend wasn't relaxing. It's always that way for me when I visit my parents. The drive is long. The Doxies get too excited. And the spare room isn't dark enough at night.

Relax when you can. You've earned a break!

  11. Jen- I agree. Fun and relaxation. It always sucks when they're not.

I like bringing Powell up to Granny and Pawpaws because he gets to run around like a maniac (they live in the country), but he gets super excited to be in another house. He's just like a kid lol.
