Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass... It's about learning to dance in the rain.
Happy Thanksgiving, Nat! Sorry you're feeling gross. :hugs:
Thank you, my dear =) I wish I was home with my family and friends, but instead I'm stuck in bed surrounded by Kleenex, LOL. It just feels like a kick in the pants ;)
Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you feel well enough tomorrow to make dinner. What are the traditional Canadian Thanksgiving foods? Do you eat turkey, stuffing, and yams like Americans?
Jen-- Thank you, hun =) I hope so, too.Canadian Thanksgiving is basically the same as American Thanksgiving. It varies from family to family, of course, but typically its turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry jelly, etc... You know, the basics. As for my family we do all of that plus mustard carrots, and various meat pies (French). My mum always had a huge spread of snacks out before dinner too (chips, fresh veggies, etc...). For dessert its pie for most people. We tend to have butter tarts (a Canadian dessert very much like pecan pie, but without the pecans *winks*).Like I said, it varies from family to family. For example, we don't have yams or sweet potatoes *shudders* but I know many other families who do. Just depends.
Yum! That all sounds delicious. I dislike yams also. I like turkey, but I'd rather eat ham...and mashed potatoes. =)
Heheh, I love all three: turkey, ham, and mashed potatoes ;)
