Derek’s counting the days before he can be on his own, and the last thing he needs is to get involved with someone else’s family drama.

*My Take: SFDSGDFS!!!!! I am so excited to read this book! I have waited years for Elkeles to publish another YA series. =)*

Endless Knight by Kresley Cole-- October 1st
Paranormal/Fantasy/Dystopian Young Adult

In this second book thrilling book of The Arcana Chronicles from #1 New York Times bestselling author Kresley Cole, Evie struggles to accept her place in the prophecy that will either save the world—or destroy it.
Evie has fully come into her powers as the tarot Empress, and Jack was there to see it all. As one of twenty-two teens given powers following the apocalypse, she now knows a war is brewing, and it’s kill or be killed.
When Evie meets Death, the gorgeous and dangerous Endless Knight, things get even more complicated. Though falling for Jack, she’s drawn to Death as well. Somehow the Empress and Death share a romantic history, one that Evie can’t remember—but Death can’t forget…
*My Take: I loved, loved, loved her first book in this series. I can't wait to read this one!*

Bang by Lisa McMann-- October 8th
Paranormal Young Adult.
Jules should be happy. She saved a lot of people’s lives and she’s finally with Sawyer, pretty much the guy of her dreams. But the nightmare’s not over, because she somehow managed to pass the psycho vision stuff to Sawyer. Excellent.
Feeling responsible for what he’s going through and knowing that people’s lives are at stake, Jules is determined to help him figure it all out. But Sawyer’s vision is so awful he can barely describe it, much less make sense of it. All he can tell her is there’s a gun, and eleven ear-splitting shots. Bang.

Jules and Sawyer have to work out the details fast, because the visions are getting worse and that means only one thing: time is running out. But every clue they see takes them down the wrong path. If they can’t prevent the vision from happening, lives will be lost. And they may be among the casualties…
*My Take: I read the first book and quite enjoyed it. McMann always writes small books, but the characters are interesting, and I'm certainly intrigued. I just hope we get more information this time around.*

Artemis Greaves toils as a lady’s companion, but hiding beneath the plain brown serge of her dress is the heart of a huntress. When the Ghost of St. Giles rescues her from footpads she recognizes a kindred spirit—and is intrigued. She’s even more intrigued when she realizes who exactly the notorious Ghost is by day…

DESIRE IGNITES A DANGEROUS PASSION

Artemis makes a bold move: she demands that Maximus use his influence to free her imprisoned brother—or she will expose him as the Ghost. But blackmailing a powerful duke isn’t without risks. Now that she has the tiger by the tail, can she withstand his ire—or the temptation of his embrace?

*My Take: I love Elizabeth Hoyt's books, so it should come as no surprise that I'm excited to read this new installment. Also, I adore the cover (emerald green is my favorite color).*

Trust in Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout w/a J. Lynn-- October 22nd
New Adult

It’s Wait for You as you’ve never seen it. Trust in Me lets you in on Cam’s side of the #1 New York Times Bestselling story.

*My Take: I absolutely adored WAIT FOR YOU, so I can't wait to read Cam's side of the story!*

Beautiful Player by Christina Lauren-- October 29th
Contemporary Erotic Romance
In the third book in the Beautiful Bastard series, an agreement between a venture capitalist and a bookish woman quickly becomes a very NSFW version of My Fair Lady.
When Hanna “Ziggy” Bergstrom moves to New York City for graduate school, Will Sumner thinks his responsibilities to his best friend’s nerdy little sister will be limited to the occasional dinner and check-in. Little does he know that Ziggy is ready to break out of her bookworm academic shell and move more into bombshell territory. Of course she figures the gorgeous womanizing venture capitalist Will is the best person to help mentor her in this new field of study: dating.
Will takes on the challenge with more than a healthy dose of skepticism and humor, but soon finds that Ziggy just needed a tiny push, not a world of change, to reveal a woman every man seems to notice. Soon “Ziggy” is gone and the unfiltered, innocently seductive Hanna Bergstrom is hijacking his dreams, his moods, and even his orderly no-strings-attached dating life—beginning the night his mentoring activities move between the sheets.
*My Take: I don't enjoy the novellas in this series, but I do like their full length books, so this one is a must-read for me!*

When the Marquess Met His Match by Laura Lee Guhrke-- October 29th
Regency Romance

What happens when a carefree, disreputable, stone-broke bachelor is forced to find a wife in a hurry? He hires a matchmaker, of course. What happens when the matchmaker doesn’t want to help him? Well, that’s when the fun begins…

Nicholas Stirling, Marquess of Trubridge, loves his life just as it is: dissolute, scandalous, and deuced good fun. His father, the Duke of Landsdowne is not amused, and when he cuts off Nicholas’ trust fund, the fun-loving marquess is forced to find an alternate source of income—in other words, he has to marry an heiress.

Every new-money American heiress knows Lady Belinda Featherstone is the key to social acceptance. Once a new-money nobody herself, Belinda discovered first-hand how heartbreaking the game of love and matrimony could be after a reprobate British earl married her for her money. Now a respectable widow, Belinda has become England’s most successful matchmaker, guiding young American heiresses through the hazards of the London season and helping them to find husbands worthy of them. To her mind, the Marquess of Trubridge is nothing but a fortune-hunting scoundrel and she has no intention of allowing him to charm his way into any American girl’s heart, including her own.

*My Take: I've liked Guhrke's books in the past, so I'm curious to see what this one is like.*

Playing Dirty by Jennifer Echols-- October 29th
Contemporary Romance

A public relations expert tries to prevent the breakup of a raucous country band and corral their wild—and very sexy—lead singer in book 2 of the Stargazer Series.

WHO’S ZOOMING WHO?

Sarah Seville knows how to handle a rock star. As Stargazer PR agency’s expert in crisis management, it’s her job to keep the talent in line. But she’s never encountered a star quite like Quentin Cox. The sexy, enigmatic leader of the raucous country band The Cheatin’ Hearts is full of secrets—the kind that could destroy the band before they finish their breakout album. Sarah’s mission: get up close and personal with the country heartthrob and find out everything she can before the band goes bottoms up.

Trouble is, Quentin is just as wily as he is irresistible. Convinced that the key to keeping the band together is helping him win his bandmate and former lover back, Sarah decides to play his latest fling and make his ex jealous. But long lingering nights in Quentin’s arms leave Sarah breathless—and wondering whether she’s fooling anyone but herself. She’s falling hard and fast for Quentin, and in serious danger of bringing the band—and the man—to its knees. . . .

*My Take: I'm cautious about this book, mainly because Echols' has disappointed me with her past few books. We shall see, however.*

The Sum of All Kisses by Julia Quinn-- October 29th
Regency Romance

Hugh Prentice has never had patience for dramatic females, and if Lady Sarah Pleinsworth has ever been acquainted with the words shy or retiring, she's long since tossed them out the window. Besides, a reckless duel has left this brilliant mathematician with a ruined leg, and now he could never court a woman like Sarah, much less dream of marrying her.
Sarah has never forgiven Hugh for the duel he fought that nearly destroyed her family. But even if she could find a way to forgive him, it wouldn't matter. She doesn't care that his leg is less than perfect, it's his personality she can't abide. But forced to spend a week in close company they discover that first impressions are not always reliable. And when one kiss leads to two, three, and four, the mathematician may lose count, and the lady may, for the first time, find herself speechless...
*My Take: Julia Quinn. Enough said.*

So there you have it, folks! Are any of these on your NTR list? What about other books you're looking forward to this month?

  1. I've been such a penny-pincher lately, all the books I'm looking forward to have been out for a while - and they're all continuations of series I love. But I won't go look up the titles, because the lure is too great. Must.Not.Shop.
